We have prepared a special device for the purpose of measuring the body temperature of persons who enter buildings where there is a high movement of people, thus responding to the high risk of global spread of infectious diseases (currently ongoing
Corona virus

We offer a handheld thermal imaging camera that measures body temperature on the forehead or neck from a distance of 1-2 m. The device is handheld and battery operated. It can also be mounted on a tripod or fixed base. It is capable of measuring body temperature and that of individual persons with a setting of exceeding the maximum permissible temperature. It is therefore a device suitable for small and medium-sized businesses or premises where the person has to stop, take the temperature and move on. The whole process is realtime and takes no more than a few seconds.

The device is battery-powered and therefore mobile and usable in the field. Battery life is approx. 6 hours. Batteries are rechargeable or replaceable 18650 type. Batteries can be swapped or charged via USB-C fast charging connection.

How does this device work?

Persons stand one by one with the thermal camera at a distance of 1-2 m, pointing at the forehead or the cornea of the eye. The display immediately shows the measured temperature. Alarm triggering for the limit temperature can be set e.g. to 37°C, if this temperature is measured the display will flash and the indicator light will come on at the same time, the alarm function can also be supplemented with an audible alarm.
The camera is capable and designed to measure human temperature in the range of 30˚C~45˚C, the scale is divided into 0.1˚C, the accuracy of measurement indoors at a distance of 1m is ±0.5˚C, and the response time and sensing speed is ≤500ms.

To obtain realistic and accurate body temperature data, several recommendations should be followed

  • The person should be facing the camera without glasses so that the camera can be pointed directly at the inner canal of the eye
  • The inner canal of the eye emits a higher and most accurate body temperature compared to the skin
  • The more remote the temperature measurement of the subject, the lower the accuracy of the measurement.
  • For a sufficiently accurate measurement, we need to obtain 9 to 16 pixels per 1/4 inch area of the measured part of the eye (if we are measuring the temperature of the eye canal), which also limits the static angle of view of the thermal imaging camera.
  • Try to place the equipment in a room with a constant temperature
  • Use a wall or material with a stable temperature as a background (no glass, opening doors, roller shutter doors, window, blinds, moving scenes)
  • If a person enters the room they should come in, calm, temperature stable. Not after a run, from the hot outdoors or after some physical exertion.

In conjunction with the rise in skin surface temperature at the time when infection is manifesting in the human body, the thermal imaging camera can be used to detect virtually all types of viral diseases such as standard influenza, SARS corona viral influenza, MERS, COVID-19, avian influenza, swine flu, etc.
Thanks to its high precision, the thermal imager also detects small temperature changes with a sensitivity of 0.5°C/1m. For automatic detection of elevated temperature, an alarm function can be used to alert you when the temperature has been exceeded.
